On March 10. 2022, Alex Orlando Crotts, passed through the veil into God’s graces after a brief battle with cancer.
This gentle giant touched many people’s lives over his 70 years. Alex enjoyed singing, travel, sharing a meal with friends and a regular visit to the casino.
He is survived by many loving individuals, including his good friend, Brian Garrett, and good friends Dean Hitsos and Carlas Kallam; Bert Cohen and Patrick Quillen; Laura Gin and her children Katelyn and Kevin; Rev. Joel Slotnick, and his Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida and American Express family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Viola Crotts; his sister Ida; his niece Tammie; and by his former partners, Ralf Kuehnert and Ray Tryall.
A Celebration of Life for Alex O. Crotts will be held on Saturday, May 7 at 2 o'clock pm at Sunshine Cathedral located at 1480 SW 9th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315.
Immediately after the memorial service to honor Alex O Crotts. We will enjoy light refreshments in the social hall. That evening we will toast Alex at Georgie's Alibi at 8 o'clock pm. If you will be attending the Celebration of Life, we would like to ask that you please wear bright colors, the colors of the rainbow!
