In Memory of Our Beloved Mother, Nina Ochy

Nina was born in Panama, in the providence of Darien, district of Chepigana, on April 3, 1928. She is the daughter of Ana Gazca and Alejandro Ochy and the third of eight siblings.

Throughout her life she had several professions. She was a teacher, a business administrator, and an accountant. She eventually found her true calling in caring for the elderly, dedicating part of her life to serving and caring for others.

She was married and divorced twice and because of those relationships she is a mother of six children. She loved and raised us equally, never making a distinction between us.

In addition to being a wonderful mother, she was a grandmother to seventeen, great- grandmother to seventeen and great great - grandmother to five. She surrounded each generation with love, guidance, and wisdom.

Mom was a warrior, a strong and generous woman with an enormous heart. In her dictionary, the word “No” did not exist when someone needed help, especially her family. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

She was extraordinary. Always looking to bring people together, to forgive and to restore peace whenever disagreements arise. Her greatest wish was to see her family united.

You leave us a great legacy of love, strength, generosity and preservice. You taught us never to give up , to help others and to remain united as a family. We know that from heaven you will continue to watch over us and guide us.

Rest in peace, Mom

Your mission in this life was fulfilled. We love you very much and you will forever live in our hearts.

Mom, today we have to say goodbye to you, our hearts filled with sadness but with immense gratitude for having had the blessing of calling you Mom.

Until we meet again..
