Bertha Kathah

Bertha “Bertica” Kattah, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2022. 

Born in Tunja, Colombia, she was a devout Catholic and a woman of undeniable faith.

She devoted her life to teaching, ultimately leading her beloved Gimnasio Tundama in Bogota Colombia, as the Prinicpal of that school for fifty years.

Upon her retirement in 2004, Bertica moved to the United States to be closer to her family. She continued to be very involved in the community and the Church. She had a hunger for knowledge and loved to read. She thrived on sharing her knowledge with friends and loved ones, often leading prayer and study groups.

Bertica is survived by her children, Gladys, Odette and Juan Carlos and their families and friends.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church.
