Obituary

Beverley Medford was born on July 10, 1939, in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies, to Harold and Lela Isaacs. She was the third of six children. She attended Alpha Academy and received her diploma.

After graduation, Beverley worked as a photographer, before migrating to the United States at the age of 26 years old. She went on to build a long and distinguished career at AT&T Corporation, beginning as an operator and later advancing to a customer relations representative.

After retirement, Beverley decided to leave New York to escape the cold weather and relocated to Florida to enjoy the sunshine and an easier lifestyle. There she met Rex Medford, and they married in November 1994. Beverley and Rex celebrated 31 years of marriage this past November 26. Beverley was the proud mother of two children, Nicole McGregor and Roger Carby, both of whom sadly preceded her in passing.

Beverley was a strong, energetic, exciting, vibrant & unapologetic bold woman, full of courage and life. She affectionately called herself “FOXY BEV” as she hated being called “Mama or miss Bev”. She resisted any label associated with age. Beverley loved going to the casino and was extremely lucky playing the slot machines. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, music and loved to give parties for every occasion. She was the hostess with the mostess, giving countless celebrations filled with laughter and joy.

Beverley is survived by her devoted husband, Rex Medford, and her sisters, Marleen Vernon and Leila(Donna)Isaacs, Grandchildren: Ramel, Laysean, Derrell and Marquis, 5 Great grands: Niko, Porter, Noah & Kairo. She was predeceased by her mother and father Lela and Harold Isaacs, and her three bothers Lawrence, Ronald, and Trevor Isaacs. Beverley leaves an abundance of cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family members, friends, and the members of her beloved Banana Boat Social Club.

Beverley, we will always treasure your wonderful spirit, your kind heart, and your positive and fun loving nature. You will truly be missed by all. Thank you for being a meaningful part of our lives, keeping us always living life to the fullest!

WE LOVE YOU!
