Richard “Dick” Dimond
August 9, 1948 – September 27, 2026
Richard “Dick” Dimond, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026, at the age of 78.
Born on August 9, 1948, in Lyons, Kansas, Richard was the son of Cecil and Hazel Dimond. A proud Kansas State football player and Navy veteran, Richard carried with him throughout his life a strong sense of dedication, loyalty, and perseverance.
Richard built a distinguished career in the financial industry, serving as Senior Vice President at FMS bonds, Inc. for 29 years. His professional journey took him from Kansas to North Miami Beach, Florida, and ultimately to Hollywood, Florida, where he made his home and built a life surrounded by family and friends. He was also a valued mentor to many throughout his career. Always willing to share his time and advice, Richard took pride in teaching others the business and helping those around him grow. His knowledge, generosity, and willingness to guide others left a lasting impression on the many people he worked with.
Above all, Richard cherished his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dianne Dimond of Hollywood, Florida; his daughter, Michelle Nichols (husband, Andrew), of Oceanside, California; his grandson, Seth Nichols of Oceanside, California; and his son, Dustin Ebaugh (wife, Kirissa), of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Hazel Dimond, and his sisters, Sharon Case and Gloria Hawkinson.
His life touched far more people than those within his immediate family. He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews, many cousins, extended family members, longtime friends, and all those fortunate enough to know him.
While we are deeply saddened by Richard’s passing, we find comfort in the many memories he leaves behind—the moments shared, the stories told, the laughter enjoyed, and the love that will continue to connect us. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
A funeral service celebrating Richard’s life will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in North Lauderdale, Florida, on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 11:00 A.M.Family and friends are invited to gather together to honor Richard, celebrate his life, and share in a time of remembrance.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Richard’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization whose mission reflects his compassion and care for others.
