Edda Marina Brautigam passed away peacefully on the morning of August 6th, 2026, surrounded by love. She leaves behind her 4 daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Edda worked for 25+ for Social Services in Suffolk County, NY. She was a devoted wife, mother, and member to the community. During retirement Edda was a leader in her neighborhood community where she laid the foundation for events among residents and families where she lived. She loved to travel, and visited the Caribbean, and various countries as often as she could with her beloved husband, Ronald, which whom she lost in December of 2024. She had a fierce love of movies of all kinds, and could be most often found late at night curled up in front of the TV watching one of her favorite horror or suspense films. She had a tremendous sweet tooth and love of milkshakes, cupcakes and ice cream; she’d never turn you down for any of those treats. 

Edda was an amazing mother, whose love knew no bounds when it came to her children. The void she leaves within their hearts is one that can never be filled. She will be eternally missed.
