Elizabeth González de Rodríguez, de 80 años, residente de Sunrise, Florida, falleció el lunes 22 de junio de 2026. Elizabeth nació el 26 de agosto de 1945 en la ciudad de Maracaibo, estado Zulia, en Venezuela; fue hija de Rafael González y Nerita Urdaneta. Estuvo casada felizmente con su esposo Pablo Martín Rodríguez. Se destacó por ser una mujer maravillosa, bondadosa, alegre y con gran amor por su familia. Fue siempre muy feliz y devota del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús y de San Expedito.

Elizabeth mantuvo siempre un profundo amor por su tierra venezolana y su entrañable Maracaibo. Fue un alma vibrante a la que le fascinaba bailar, asistir a fiestas y reunir a los suyos alrededor de una mesa para jugar cartas y Rummikub. Vivió plenamente cada instante, disfrutando siempre de sus grandes gustos: una buena empanada, un cafecito reconfortante en Don Pan y una deliciosa rebanada de key lime pie.

Le sobreviven sus hijos Pablo e Isabel, sus hermanos Gustavo y María Eugenia, sus nietas Mariana y Andrea, y su yerno Antonio.

Se invita a acompañar a la familia en la misa en memoria de su eterno descanso, la cual se oficiará con sus cenizas a las 5:00 p. m. el martes 7 de julio de 2026, en la Iglesia Católica All Saints (10900 West Oakland Park Blvd., Sunrise, FL 33351). Para honrar su memoria, pueden considerar una donación voluntaria para los afectados por el terremoto en Venezuela en give.gem.org, en lugar de arreglos florales.


Elizabeth Gonzalez de Rodriguez, 80 years old, a resident of Sunrise, Florida, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026. Elizabeth was born on August 26, 1945, in the city of Maracaibo, Zulia State in Venezuela, and was the daughter of Rafael Gonzalez and Nerita Urdaneta. She was happily married to her husband, Pablo Martin Rodriguez. She stood out for being a wonderful, kind, joyful woman with a deep love for her family. She was always very happy and grateful to God for her family and friends. Elizabeth held a lifelong affection for her homeland of Venezuela and her beloved Maracaibo. A vibrant soul, she truly loved to dance, attend parties, and gather with loved ones over games of cards and Rummikub. She also possessed a wonderful appreciation for the sweeter things in life—never turning down an empanada, her favorite coffee at Don Pan, or a delicious slice of key lime pie

She is survived by her children, Pablo and Isabel; her siblings, Gustavo and Maria Eugenia; her granddaughters, Mariana and Andrea; and her son-in-law, Antonio.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial Mass for her eternal rest, which will be celebrated in the presence of her ashes at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at All Saints Catholic Church, located at 10900 West Oakland Park Blvd., Sunrise, FL 33351. To honor her memory, you may consider a voluntary donation to those affected by the earthquake in Venezuela at give.gem.org, in lieu of floral arrangements.
