Inese Jean was born on September 14, 1950, in La Digue, Seychelles. She was the beloved daughter of the late Bernard and Theresie Rosalie and one of thirteen siblings. Inese received her early education in both French and English during her primary school years. As a young woman, she worked as an au pair and had the opportunity to travel to many countries before eventually settling in South Florida.
Inese met the love of her life, Antoine Jean, whom she later married. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with two sons, Steve Jean and Brian Jean. Inese devoted her life to being a loving and caring wife and mother, always placing her family at the center of everything she did.
She worked as a caregiver, a role she embraced with compassion and pride. Inese was respected by her colleagues and deeply appreciated for her dedication, kindness, and strong work ethic.
Outside of her work, Inese found joy in sewing, gardening, and being actively involved in her church community. She especially loved cooking, often bringing people together through her meals and warm hospitality. Her passions reflected her vibrant and joyful spirit.
Above all, Inese treasured her role as a grandmother. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and brought immense happiness to her life. She cherished every moment spent with them.
Inese passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, at the age of 75. She leaves behind her loving husband, Antoine Jean; her two sons, Steve Jean (Ladrunecia Noltion) and Brian Jean (wife, Amy Carter-Jean); her granddaughters, Shameriah, Camia, Cayli, and Serenity; her grandson, Cameron; as well as her sisters, brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Though she will be deeply missed, Inese’s love, kindness, and beautiful spirit will never be forgotten. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.
