In Loving Memory of Isabel Marco

With profound sadness and immense gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved matriarch, Isabel Marco, on July 19, 2026, at the age of 96.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, on February 7, 1930, Isabel spent her earlier years on Long Island before moving to Florida in the late 1960s, where she made her home for the remainder of her life.

Isabel shared an extraordinary 71-year marriage with her beloved husband, Nicholas Marco, who preceded her in death. Together they built a family rooted in love, respect, laughter, and enduring traditions. Their marriage was a shining example of commitment, faithfulness, and unconditional love, inspiring generations that followed.

Isabel was the heart of her family—the one who brought everyone together, celebrated every milestone, and made every person feel loved. Her warmth, strength, gentle spirit, and selfless nature touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Whether through a comforting hug, wise advice, a home-cooked meal, or simply her presence, she had a remarkable way of making people feel at home.

She is lovingly survived by her five children: Lucy (Mark) Weinrub; Jean Thal (whose beloved husband preceded her in death); Maria Wood (Brian Costello); Frank (Kelly) Marco; and Chris Marco.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Jason (Jennifer) Weinrub; Gregory (Beth) Weinrub; Andrew (Maia) Shaffer; and Nicole Havekost.

Her greatest joy was being “Nanny” to her cherished great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Christoper, Colten, Bailey, Zachary and Taylor, each of whom brought immeasurable happiness to her life.

She also leaves behind extended family and countless dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful that Isabel passed peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by the love of her family in her final days. We take comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her beloved Nicholas, the love of her life.

Isabel taught us the true meaning of family, compassion, generosity, and unconditional love. Her legacy will live on through the values she instilled, the traditions she created, and the family she loved so deeply.
