Judy Berry

Judy Lee Berry, 74, of Weston, Florida, passed away on Jul 24, 2026 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Judy was raised on a farm in the central heartland of Alberta until her family moved into Calgary when Judy was a teenager. Although she lived in cities for the remainder of her life, Judy always considered herself a country girl. Upon graduation from high school Judy entered the Foothills School of Nursing (now part of the University of Calgary) where she found her calling. Excelling at her studies she went on to become a premier ICU/critical care nurse specializing in cardiology working at the Calgary Foothills Hospital and the Toronto General Hospital. She took time off from nursing to earn a bachelor degree in science specializing in Microbiology. And went on become the Infection Control nurse at the University of Alberta Mackenzie Health Sciences Center. Moving to south Florida with family she went on to work in the ICU’s of the North Ridge Medical Center and the Broward Health Medical Center.

Following retirement Judy pursued her love of gardening and cooking. As her health began to suffer, Judy’s unending optimism and her strong Christian faith shone through in everything she did. Judy is survived by Brian her husband of 44 years, son David and daughter Megan (husband Josh) and three grandchildren Emily, Sarah and Luke.
