Kathleen Kurtz

Kathleen James Kurtz, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 8, 2026.

Born on June 24, 1950, in Lima, Ohio, Kathy was the eldest daughter of Charlotte and Everett “Jesse” James.

Kathy dedicated her life to helping others heal. Alongside her husband, Steven Robert Kurtz, she built both a beautiful marriage of more than forty years and a respected private practice in Miami Lakes, Florida, where the two worked together as marriage and family therapists. Through their work, they helped countless individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Steven; her daughter, Jessica Graves; her beloved grandchildren, Lola and Jesse; her step-son, Jason Kurtz; and her three sisters, Rebecca, Maureen, and Jennifer.

Kathy will be remembered for the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the enduring example she set through both her work and her marriage. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
