Lyda Rose Moore, born December 17, 1964, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to Betty Jean Jefferson and Allan Frank Moore, passed away on June 13, 2026.Lyda resided in Warren, Ohio, until moving to Florida in 1986.
She was a graduate of Warner G.Harding High School. Lyda later attended Barbizon Modeling School in Akron, Ohio, which allowed her to compete and model in pageants. She was the five-girl runner-up in the Canton,Ohio pageant. In 2001, she was selected to represent Florida as Miss Fort Lauderdale.
Lyda had a passion for modeling, dressing up, and pageantry, which gave her a way to express herself and shine. She also enjoyed the beach and cherished sharing that joy with her family and friends whenever she could.Lyda was a strong-minded, independent soul who cherished her family and brought people together everywhere she went. Anyone who knew Lyda has a story to tell about how helpful,fun, and amazing she was.
She carried a light within her that touched everyone she met. She loved to dance to any beat she could find and consistently showed excitement, dedication, and deep protection for the people she loved.Even up until her final days, Lyda continued to show love and care for her family, making jokes and giving them moments of light during such a difficult time.
Lyda was devoted to her walk with God and encouraged those around her to do the same. She endlessly shared the word of God with her family, especially during times when it was needed most.She will be truly missed. GOD has gained an angel!
