Michael Harrington Millard was born on December 8, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois. He passed away on July 7 th , 2026, from pneumonia. He was 86 years old. Mike was a member of the Lutheran Church. He is survived by his sons William “Bill” and Michael “Mike” Jr.

Mike grew up in New Jersey and Florida While attending High School in Sarasota Mike lettered in swimming and track and field. He then attended Colgate University for two years, before deciding on further education in radio and broadcasting. From behind the microphone Mike’s radio work began in New England playing Rock and Roll. His unique radio personality and talent took him through all kinds of music from Country to even classical, self-help and motivation radio. Mike even had a TV show in Miami about music called Generation Rap, in 1970. Mike announced his way across America from Philadelphia to Colorado and from Montana to LA. In the East he conquered radio audiences from Cincinnati to Dallas and Houston, before re-settling in Ft. Lauderdale He was on WLRN in Miami doing South Florida Traffic right up until his retirement in 2003.

Mike Millard loved his wife and family very much. He also was a concerned conservationist and a licensed animal rescuer who assisted in saving the lives of dozens of birds in Texas and South Florida. Mike dearly loved trains and criminal mystery books. He was always writing something down for his next project. Micheal H Millard will be very sorely missed.
