Michele "Shelley" Cordeau, age 72, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025.

She was born on August 14, 1953. Shelley was the beloved daughter of Robert and Myrna Cordeau and a dear sister to Ron Cordeau. She was also a cherished aunt to Robert S. Cordeau. A fun-loving woman, Shelley was a big fan of the Beatles as a young girl in the sixties, and had a deep appreciation for both Country and Western music. She enjoyed occasionally spending time with friends at a proper bar and grill with a bottle of brew and an order of wings. Her six cats, whom she affectionately referred to as her "kids," held a very special place in her heart. Finding holiday gifts for Shelley was always easy – anything with a cat theme for the 24 paws was sure to bring her joy. While she faced her share of challenges in life, including being married a few times and spending her later years on her own, Shelley found great comfort and happiness in the companionship of her cats. She often joked about having learned to "speak cat 101" highlighting the strong bond she shared with them. Her dinner routine was a testament to her caring nature, with each of her feline companions having their own bowl and patiently waiting for everyone to be served.

Shelley possessed a likable personality and was known for her warm smile. She was well-educated, having graduated from Northwestern University in Illinois. She also had a keen interest in the Chicago Bears and was a big fan of the Cubs for years. She also developed an appreciation for cars from her father and brother. She drove Mustangs, a Nissan 280z sports car, and a V8 Camaro.

Shelley's absence will undoubtedly be noted and she will be missed by her family, friends and the kitties. As well as the flock of birds she fed every morning, by gleefully tossing up handfuls of seed in the air. They will remember her as compassionate, loving and kind. Heaven not only gains a soul, but a personality as well. She was undeniably....a sweetheart!
