Miguel Soto Salvador

August 5, 1934 — April 10, 2024

The world became a better place on August 5, 1934, the day Miguel Soto was born in Lima, Peru. After a long and happy life, Miguel passed away peacefully at the age of 89 in Coral Springs, Florida surrounded by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Rosa, his daughters Graciela Soto and Mariela Serrano, and his grandchildren Alejandro, Gabriel, Santiago, and Juan Diego Serrano as well as Elena, Sofia, and Christopher Richards.

Miguel was an accomplished civil engineer who graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria in Lima and was well regarded by his peers and students. He studied, worked, and lived in several countries in Europe and South America. He was passionate about classical music and the opera which he truly enjoyed during the years he studied in Italy. A dedicated father and husband, he was a role model to his daughters to whom he taught the importance of moral values, respect, responsibility, charity, and the significance of helping others without expecting anything in return.

To honor his memory, a wake will be held on April 17, 2024, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Serenity Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be on April 18, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00 am at St Andrew Catholic Church, followed by the burial at 11:30 am in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.

We invite all who knew him to attend and remember his wonderful life. We will always keep him in our hearts  as a kind, caring, and loving father and friend.
