Monica passed away on December 3, 2025.

She is survived by her children, Diego Alves and Danielle Rutch.

Monica was born in Brazil on March 5, 1960. She moved with her husband and children to Florida in the United States in 1989.

She spent the remainder of her life as a devoted mother, a member of the Catholic Church, and one of the most beloved hospitality servers in the industry. Each day brought her joy as she cared for and provided for others. She will forever be remembered for her selflessness and her loyalty to her friends, family, and patrons.

Monica was full of life, full of laughter, and always able to bring a comforting smile to your face, even in the most challenging times. Her fiery passion and vibrant personality positioned her not only as a role model but also as a mother figure to many especially her children's friends.

As Monica reminded us every day: Life is beautiful. Be a happy person.

Her ashes will be spread at sea, just as she wished. Monica always said, with her unmistakable humor, "Throw my ashes into the ocean. I always ate the fish, and now the fish eat me!" Even in moments like these, she leaves us with a smile. May her spirit rest in peace, carried by the waves she loved so much.
