Adventures of Captain Dick

I have seen the Northern Lights, the Southern Cross, the Green Flash (twice), and the earth and sky transitioning from blue to violet to the black of space at 62,500 ft while flying at twice the speed of sound.

I have flown a P-51 Mustang over the Everglades while performing aerobatics, survived a 7.2 earthquake, sailed alone on the open ocean for over 10,000 miles, sailed alone through a Cat 4 hurricane, and had a close encounter with a Grizzly Bear (about 10 ft.) in Canada. I also had an “out-of-body” experience when encountering an intruder in my home at night.

I was trained on nuclear weapons and was in charge of the warhead in Korea and participated in a missile launch at Cape Canaveral. I taught Filmmaking at San Francisco State University, I was an 8 th grade Science teacher for 24 years, was a System Manager on many HP3000 business computers, wrote training manuals for H-P on the HP3000 for System Managers and System Operators, was a charter boat captain and sailing instructor in the Caribbean.

Currently, I am a upper level Toastmaster and working on becoming an Artistic Photographer.

I have had many lives.
