Roselyn “Susannah” Thomas

November 26, 1941 – February 11, 2026

Roselyn Thomas, affectionately known to many as “Susannah,” peacefully transitioned on February 11, 2026, at the age of 84, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Born on November 26, 1941, in St. Kitts, Susannah was the beloved daughter of the late JohnPayne and Lillian Payne. Susannah was a woman of strength and firmness. She believed in discipline, structure, and speaking her mind.

Yet beneath that firmness was a heart that loved deeply. She especially adored her grandchildren

and great-grandchildren, loving them unconditionally and proudly. They brought her immense joy. She also loved to celebrate life. Susannah enjoyed music, laughter, gatherings, and a good party.

Her presence was strong, her personality unforgettable, and her impact undeniable. She was preceded in death by her son, Renaldo Thomas. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving children: Elsa Payne, Klevan James, Lettsome James, Ursula Payne, Susette Tyson, Alicia Payne, Nicole Hodge, and Aslyn Thomas. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren (in order of birth): Sylina, Tahmeka, Kareme, Jamie, Lavenus, Keshawn, Trinell, Denel, Khalia, Justin, Jelani, Semaj, Tyana (Jaeda), Tyel, Jahve, and Tynai.

She was further blessed with great-grandchildren who will continue her legacy of strength and family pride. Susannah’s life was not without its challenges, but she endured with resilience and determination.

Though firm in her ways, she loved her family fiercely and leaves behind a legacy woven through generations.
