Roxanne Charlotte Yepez was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on Monday, April 25th, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida after her battle with cancer came to an end at the age of 65.
She was born to Victor and Anna Proscia on March 6, 1957. She grew up in New York, where at 17, she met Julio, who she later married. Together, they had 4 children: Robert Joseph, Maria Ann, Regina Rose, and Julia Ynes.
Roxanne's most important role to her was that of a mother and grandmother to her 7 grandsons. With great pride, she also cared for her parents into their golden years. She took on those roles with an abundance of love. She outdid every holiday making them extra special for her family. As a wife, her loyalty and patience were always at the forefront of her marriage. Her career in hospitality was something she also took great pride in. As a head cook, she enjoyed cooking for the elderly and bringing them joy through meals in their latter years.
She was an avid dancer and lover of Motown music. She could keep up with the latest dances her grandsons would show her. She was a dog and cat mom for many years and often took in strays. As a selfless woman, the word no was rarely ever spoken. She never turned anyone away in a time of need. She was a true girly girl who loved her fashion and make-up. After moving to Florida, she enjoyed the company of new friends and sunbathing by the lake.
A funeral service is scheduled for noon on April 30, 2022, at the Serenity Funeral Home located at 1450 S State Road 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068. For any floral arrangements and/or cards, please send them to the funeral home address mentioned above. Thank you.
